Tomoki Chien

Tomo is the founder, CEO and editor-in-chief of College Brief. He writes the “Morning, Trojan” newsletter. He’s an award-winning print and photo journalist who has covered USC, labor, local government and K-12 education. He was previously the photo editor and a reporter at USC’s Daily Trojan and newsletter editor at Annenberg Media. He’s also a contributing writer at MileSplit, a track and field news website. Tomo previously founded the Midpeninsula Post, an award-winning high school newspaper that sought to get teenagers reading more local news.
